Welcome to Bays Junior Rugby

Based at Windsor Park Mairangi Bay, 496 East Coast Road on Auckland’s North Shore, East Coast Bays Rugby Football Club has one of the largest junior memberships in the North Harbour Region, with 600 junior members and 31 teams.

Our junior grade is built on the core values of fun, family, community and fair play and we uphold the principles of inclusion for all players by providing a positive playing atmosphere on and off the field for all our junior players and their families. At the same time we are proud to regularly produce championship junior teams and North Harbour Roller Mills representatives.

2019 sees the introduction of rippa rugby grades for older boys alongside the junior rippa and tackle grades.  We will also continue to build on the success of the girls rippa grades from last year.

Our junior membership has grown year on year, particularly among the non-tackle 5-7 year old Rippa grades. Many of the junior players who join “Bays” at this age continue with the club until they go on to high school.

Our junior players come from local schools in the area such as Long Bay, Glamorgan, Torbay, Sherwood, Browns Bay, Murrays Bay, Mairangi Bay, Oteha Valley, Pinehill, Greenhithe , Sunynook, Campbells Bay & St Johns Primary schools  and Northcross, and Murrays Bay intermediate, as well as  Pinehurst, Kristen  & Albany Junior High Schools.
