2017 Concrete Concepts

Concrete Concepts Bays Premiers

The 2018 version of the East Coast Bays Premiers has a similar look on the field to 2017.  With the retention of most of last year’s squad, expectation is high.

Returning are Harbour Wider squad members Lua Li, Jack Heighton and Leon Thambiran, also part of that squad is an exciting young hooker from Rosmini, David Meke, they will be joined by Mitre 10 Cup players Lewis Gjaltema and Harrison Groundwater.  Also, in the group is the experienced Ross McKean, Jona Tuitoga and Tua Saseve.  Add to the already mentioned a young talented group from our successful Under 21 team last year.

The biggest changes have come off the field with the promotion of the successful Under 21s coaching duo of John Scott and Jared Letham to the helm of the Premiers, they will be joined by the returning backs coach Colin Dale and managed by the astute Chris Tobin.

2017 was a season that saw the Premiers knocked out in the semifinals in the last minute by eventual champions Northcote. The coaching group believe that with pool of talent available at Bays and with a couple key recruits that they could break the 27-year championship drought.

Head Coach: John Scott
